River pier of Vitorino das Donas

The Vitorino das Donas river pier is located on the left bank of the River Lima, in the parish of Vitorino das Donas and close to the Açudes and Veigas Ecovias that connect this pier to the town of Ponte de Lima.

In this area, the river is navigable by boats with a draught of no more than 1.5 metres and in high sea conditions. Jet skis and small boats have access to the water via a ramp installed on the pier. Navigation on this stretch of the river requires attention due to the changes in depth and the vegetation on the water's surface and on the river banks, which can cause boat engines to break down. Access by land from the centre of  Ponte de Lima is via the national road EN 203, turning right towards Rua do Cais do Rio Lima, at coordinates 41º43'52.716"N 8º38'57.084"W, the pier is about 1km away, next to the Vitorino das Donas park and on the Ecovia dos Açudes.
