Ganfei/ Frades fishing zone

This facility is located north-east of Tui, in an area where the river is not so deep and its current is not affected by the tides.

Access by river to Frades Fishing Zone following these coordinates:

2 - 2nd eye on the starboard side of the international bridge 42°2'8.69"N 8°38'46.14"O

3 - Municipal Canoeing Centre, Tui 42°2'20.90"N 8°38'37.20"O

4 - San Telmo Nautical Club, Tui 42° 2'44.17"N 8°38'22.38"O

5 - Guillarei, Tui 42°3'6.05"N 8°37'22.70"O

6 - Pier Frades Fishing Zone 42°3'3.539"N 8°37'0.055"W

The Ganfei/ Frades Fishing Zone is located on the Minho riverbank and it is equipped with floating pontoons for recreational boats and for sportfishing. This structure was built on the location where another fishing zone may have been explored by the Benedictine Monastery of Ganfei, founded in the 12th century. The recovery works included the old fishing area and the boat access ramp.
