The Atlantic Ecovia, a path for walking and breathing, connects Moledo and Vila Praia de Âncora, through cycling and walking trails. It consists of three trails with a low degree of difficulty, allowing the enhancement of local spaces and requalification of areas of great value for the conservation of nature and biodiversity. Foz beach, the Sargaceiro trail and the Camboas trail favour leisure and the pleasure of enjoying the charms of nature above all. The Foz de Caminha route, beginning next to the Camarido Forest, allows you to admire the splendour of the estuary of the River Minho wrapped in the dynamics of fishing and the imposing Monte de Santa Tecla, in nearby Galicia, in Spain. Take the wooden walkway, almost one kilometre long, for a nice, quiet walk or bicycle ride. A little further south, on Moledo Beach, the Sargaceiro trail begins, so named in honour of the seaweed harvest. Continuing along the Atlantic coast, towards Vila Praia de Âncora, feel the fresh sea breeze, refresh your energy by relaxing on the porch of the chapel of Santo Isidoro. The Camboas trail runs along Avenida do Campo do Castelo, in Vila Praia de Âncora, and ends just before Lagarteira Fortress. Always with the sea in sight, this is a pleasant trail at any time of the year. It is the perfect escape from routine, to do sports and adopt healthier habits and behaviour, a healthier lifestyle in full communion with nature.
