Head towards the Poets’ Park where you can enjoy a panoramic view over the Lima. Carry on through the historical quarter, visit the Lapa chapel, and then head for Largo da Misericórdia where you will find the Misericórdia Church, one of the oldest in Portugal. Then climb up the steps to the Igreja Matriz, built in the 17th century. Next, enjoy the façade of the Farias House, a magnificent manor from the second half of the 18th century, and then the Correio Mor House. On your way to Praça da República, follow the narrow, winding streets, so characteristic of the town, and appreciate the details that make Ponte da Barca so special. Complete this route next to the muncipal council building and take the opportunity to discover the typical flavours of the region, such as the red Casta Vinhão vinho verde, Barrosã steak, kid, lamprey and the orange queijadas, among other delicacies.
