In the parish town of São Martinho de Crasto, going along the EN 101, towards Ponte da Barca/Braga, and turning onto a country road, you will see, at a distance of around four kilometres from the county hall, this Romanesque convent Church classified as a National Monument. The monastery, dating from the late 12th century, was donated by the nobleman Onerico Soeiro, “senhor de Crasto" to the Order of the Regular Cannons of St. Augustine. The monument also stands out due its unusual layout and because inside it maintains its inner enchantment.
