In Arcos de Valdevez, all of the characteristic charm of Alto Minho is reinvented: the lush landscape, the serene shade of the oak and chestnut trees and a river that never leaves you alone, invite you to take a stroll. On this part of the ecovia, you can observe, interpret, experience and save precious moments. The path, almost always flat, begins near the Roman bridge and ends in the São Jorge/Touvedo lagoon area. By bike or on foot, don't hesitate; come and enjoy a calm and serene trip, which is at the same time filled with surprises and strong emotions! Although the River Lima and the beauty of its landscape shapes this ecovia, it is, however, the small village of Ermelo that characterises it. So it will not be surprising that the Ermelo orange trees are the reason this ecovia is known as the orange stretch. If you pass by here between February and May, be sure to try the famous oranges in total communion with nature and rural areas!
